Ken is a seasoned entrepreneur with a passion for food retail and property development. He co-founded Quality Foods in 1982, growing it into a leading grocery chain before selling his interest in 2017 to pursue new ventures. Over the years, Ken has expanded into real estate, hospitality, and marine industries, developing high-quality properties and managing successful hotels and partnerships across Vancouver Island. His leadership and vision continue to drive Kelland’s growth and commitment to excellence.

John Briuolo is a committed philanthropist whose work has made a lasting impact on Vancouver Island. As a co-founder and partner at Kelland Ventures with Ken, John has played a pivotal role in growing the company’s diverse portfolio, from real estate development to hospitality. His leadership extends beyond business, with significant contributions to healthcare, education, and community initiatives. John’s dedication to both innovation and giving back reflects the core values that drive Kelland Ventures’ continued success.

Tyler Staschuk joined Kelland Ventures in 2021 as Chief Financial Officer and obtained is CPA in 2015. He has guided the company’s financial success and driven growth through strategic new ventures. With extensive financial experience, Tyler ensures operational excellence translates into strong financial results.

Jerid Schley joined Kelland Ventures in 2021 and earned his CPA designation in 2024. He oversees the company’s operations and actively pursues growth through new ventures. With deep family roots in business, Jerid brings a personal commitment and a strong passion for success to every opportunity.

Shelley Taylor has been a valued member of the Kelland Properties team since 2022. With extensive experience as an accountant and a proven track record managing financial records for firms across Vancouver Island, she was a natural fit for our organization. Today, Shelley plays an integral role within the KPI team, contributing to our continued success.

Justin Loberiza has been with Kelland Properties since 2021. While completing the rigorous process of earning his CPA designation in 2025, he has served as head accountant for our commercial and property divisions. Justin continues to drive strong financial performance, ensuring our properties are managed efficiently and successfully.

Irina has been a key member of our hospitality division since 2022, driving the growth and success of our Qualicum properties. Leveraging her strong marketing background, she has transitioned seamlessly into her role as General Manager. Irina remains focused on delivering exceptional guest experiences while expanding hotel operations, maximizing revenue opportunities, and fostering meaningful community engagement.
